The whole yoga experience is PAH completed with the thorough instruction, narration, and communication in my native hands (tongue) which is sign language. It shall further bring me to the innermost peace and solace. To rediscover my own center, it requires comprehensive communicating in the complete visual medium: sign language THAT guides me to embrace my experience as a unique Deaf individual. Deafhood Yoga is a marvelous pioneer!

Deafhood Yoga is the place to go to! Why ? It's all signed in our true language , ASL. Not only that but Kristen knows how to release all the negative energy and make my body happy! Her instructions are very clear and easy to remember when I do yoga on my own. Thanks for renewing my body and soul!

After several years of on and off practice at hearing yoga studios, Deafhood Yoga has been a breath of fresh air. Understanding the foundation of yoga practice (the breathing, being in the present moment, the asanas, etc) has been made so much more clearer with the direct access of language. Past injuries have left me stiff and sore, with limited motion at times, and Kristen has helped in the healing process. I always leave feeling more grounded and able to practice being "in the now", as well as be more compassionate and mindful in my daily activities. Thank you for helping me enjoy my return to yoga!

After my first session with Kristen, I felt fantastic for a few days afterwards--with more energy and a clear mind. I felt like I had accessed a new way of relating with my body and my energy levels. After a few days I noticed it starting to wear off (or life was wearing me away!). Now I understand why yoga and personal practice every day is important. I look forward to Kristen's class every week!

Deafhood Yoga is to be commended for making the difference in our spiritual lives with Yoga movements visionally with the help of sign language. For years as a Deaf woman, I longed to take yoga as others in my family have done. A few months ago by word of mouth I discovered Deafhood Yoga and decided to try the first class being offered, a chair yoga class with a small Deaf Senior group. After having had some chair yoga experience, I tried the floor yoga movements with a yoga mat! This class so inspired me very much that I became an intense person able to follow step by step with an excellent guidance received from my instructor. With her expertise, I have greatly improved my own confidence in medicating in this busy world, gaining flexibility and energy through movements. Deafhood Yoga has given me harmony and peace.
